CybageAsha conducts water management workshop for farmers

CybageAsha conducted a one-day workshop on water resource management for farmers on February 25, 2018.

Geologist Upendra Dhonde conducted the workshop which was attended by farmers from Bhor, Velhe, and Purandar talukas. He provided useful information regarding water conservation, planning of water resources at the village level, and water science. Dhonde also explained in detail the technicalities involved in desilting of streams and rivers.

Villages usually face water scarcity issues during the summer season, severely affecting agriculture and day-to-day life. While villagers try to solve the issue of water shortage through desilting, lack of technical know-how results in their lower rates of success.

This workshop was aimed to develop the villagers’ understanding of effective water resource management. At the end of the workshop, the villagers expressed their gratitude towards CybageAsha for conducting such a knowledge-rich workshop, which will help them manage their water resources effectively in future.

CybageAsha Implements Solid Waste Management in Survad Village

March 18, 2017, Survad : CybageAsha implemented its first Solid Waste Management program for Bhor district in Survad Village. This program is a part of its Go-green initiative.

During CybageAsha’s visit to Survad, an enthusiastic team of local school teachers and students, along with CybageAsha volunteers, marched together with banners and slogans urging people to keep their surroundings clean. After this rally, the volunteers and residents set to work as per the Go-green plan, cleaning the entire village.

The CybageAsha team also conducted a small meeting with the residents to explain the importance of clean surroundings and discuss Solid Waste Management implementation in the village. The team distributed dustbins to households and advised them to separate wet and dry waste. Rudra Environmental Solutions (I) Ltd., the company that converts plastic into fuel, will collect dry waste from the village on a monthly basis. The household that contributes the highest amount of waste will be rewarded by Cybage.

CybageAsha 2nd year celebration

CybageAsha 2nd year celebration was with Phadke kaka-kaku's children. (Kaka: Uncle in Marathi, Kaku: Aunt in Marathi). The couple aged around 70 years, are taking care of slum and under privilaged kids of the society (17 kids as of today). Special thanks to Gauri whole introduced us to Kaka-Kaku.

" Empty mind is a devils warehouse"

25years back when Kaku noticed that the ShivajiNagar slum areas kids used to waste there time out and least interest in education will eventually lead a uncultured life. Kaku initiated on taking care of slum children, who parents cannot take care or finance their kids education. Kaku is putting in effort to teach kids, educate them and so that they can grow up to be a better citizens. She with great support from Kaka is continuing this effort since last 25 years.

About the Nanded trip:
Every year once or twice, kaka-kaku take this kids for a trip. They had some funding and hence decided on taking the kids to Nanded, where they plan to visit a institution which take care of orphan and remand-kids. The institute in Nanded handles around 300 kids. Kak-Kaku kids plan to take a along some gesture of love to the kids out there, a greeting card or handkercief, which will be decorate by them

CybageAsha stepped-in here and took-up the job of help this kids in preparing the Greeting cards and painting the handkerchief. This way we interacted with the kids, and we understand their likes and interests. As a gesture of our love we took the kids to a dinner party on 15th Oct to Jayshree gardens, Tilak Roads. The dinner was great fun and kids and the CybageAsha gang loved it a lot.

Along with this CybageAsha also plans to fund a small amount of their Nanded trip.
